Lorcan in conversation with Jason King, Get Ireland Walking

Jason is Programme Manager with Get Ireland Walking. He is an Exercise Professional & Personal Trainer with REPS Ireland. In his  spare time between work, travelling and family, he has a fond love for walking, photography, off road hiking and running on trails and open mountains.  With Get Ireland Walking he works to establish key partnerships with specific governmental agencies at local and national level. Working closely with health, sport and educational providers and aiming to support existing partnerships in their continued efforts. Get Ireland Walking provide support to local sports partnerships to deliver walking programmes, training and development, research, monitoring and evaluation. Their core work strives to support walking groups and promote a vibrant walking culture for Ireland.

Lorcan in conversation with Finian Murray, HSE

Finian does a little moonlighting as a stand-up comedian and will share insights from dual roles as comedian and his many years of working promoting Men’s Health with the HSE, highlighting the important role humour can play in our lives for wellbeing. He will also signpost to supports & resources that can be a real help through these challenging & uncertain times.

Preparing for Men’s Health Week

Lorcan in conversation with Colin Fowler, Men’s Health Forum Ireland

Colin is a founding member of the Men’s Health Forum of Ireland set up in 1999 to cover the whole Island of Ireland and is currently Director of Operations. He has been involved in youth work since the 70s and in the field of men & gender since the 80s and has been involved in cross-community & reconciliation work over his career. He co-ordinates a wide alliance to deliver Men’s Health Week, he will be interviewed by Lorcan of MDN, who has 18 years of experience engaging men in health & wellbeing and training service providers to do the same, and has sat alongside Colin on a range of national committees around Men’s Health in Ireland.

Learning from Each Other in Circles

Lorcan in conversation with Se Franklin, Men’s Development Worker

Lorcan has 18 years of experience engaging men in health & wellbeing and training service providers to do the same, while Se has 24 years of experience working with men in circles, opening up hearts & minds through shared safety & conversation.
