– Men’s Leadership Programme

To be unveiled in 2022

The New Conversations with Leaders is the new Men’s Leadership Programme being rolled out in 2022 to coincide with the 25th Anniversary of the Men’s Development Network. 

The programme follows a Train the Trainer model and is targeted towards community-based organisations, public service providers or others who work with men and boys. These entities identify a man who is a community champion or an active citizen in his community and both receive training on: 

Unit 1

  • 1.2. Introduction to Gender Conditioning.
  • 1.3. The Methods and Approaches for Engaging with Men Developmentally – Understanding Men’s Groups
  • 1.4. Men and Wellbeing 
  • 1.5. Improving Health through Behavioural Change 
  • 1.6. Combatting Loneliness

Unit 2 

  • 2.1. The 7 Key Questions 
  • 2.2. How to lead a New Conversation with Men 
  • 2.3. The Ethics of Working with Men Developmentally  
  • 2.4. The Creative Self

Unit 3

The Men’s Leadership Programme supports the following Sustainable Development Goals: 

3, 4 (in particular 4.7: “By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development” ) ;

5 (in particular 5.1: End all forms of discrimination against all women and girls everywhere, and 5.2: Eliminate all forms of violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres, including trafficking and sexual and other types of exploitation).
